THE KEEPSAKE SHELF

Small stories, carefully kept.

WELCOME TO THE WORKBENCH

Follow the golden seam.

  1. Hold and sweep over dark cracks with your pointer or finger. Keyboard: arrows to move, Space to shine.
  2. Warmth heals. A crack segment must stay warm for a short while. It turns gold when fully mended.
  3. Focused light is quicker, but holding it still scorches the enamel. Move or use C to cool. Gentle light is safe to linger with.
  4. Mend every crack. Wear at 100 ends the attempt; undo your last stroke or start again. There is no time limit.

H guides your light to an unfinished segment. Z undoes a whole stroke. P pauses. Repairs save only when a keepsake is finished.

MATERIALS & ORIGINS

The art of beginning again.

An original game inspired by 2026 research into light-responsive self-healing vitrimers. These are playful fictional rules, not a material or conservation simulator.

Four original GPT-painted enamel artworks appear on the keepsakes themselves. All images and source files are local.

Curves sampled at build time with Pomax/bezierjs, MIT. No runtime library or network needed. Research inspiration.
